I’m planning on getting a cell phone soon, and I want a pay-to-go kind. I’m looking for a relatively cheap phone ($100 or less) with (preferably free) instant messaging and the ability to take pictures.

My husband got one of those Alltel U choose plans… I think that’s what it’s called. The plan offers a choice of different features to be included and we only end up paying around $20-something a month. We chose the 75 cents a day plan.

we have altell and have unlimited text, unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited to one number and unlimited to all alltel phones. and we pay 1.25 a day but if you only want to pay .75 a day you can get two of the options. or for a 1.00 a day you you can pick 3 options.
